Let the sun charge your batteries! This solar charger holds two Rechargeable Batteries of the same type and size (D, C, AA, AAA and Prismatic). It puts out about 150mA and about 5 volts. Many other solar battery chargers tested were unsuitable because their voltage was too low.

There is a built-in stand on the bottom of the charger, which can be adjusted so that the charger points directly towards the sun. This will allow you to get the maximum charge rate for your batteries. The meter on the top shows you the current output from the solar panel and the charge progression of each size battery installed. A diode is used to block current when there is no sun so the batteries stay charged. The solar charger will also charge 7 different sizes of Prismatic rechargeable batteries. Prismatic batteries are a fairly new battery used for some mobile devices.

The Universal Solar Battery Charger is small which makes it convenient for home, emergencies and outdoor activities.

I ordered this 2 days ago and got it this morning. That was fast because I live in Hawaii. Anyway I used it and it worked great. The AAA batteries I put in took less than an hour to fully recharge. Great product would fully recommend.

Excellent. Bought 6 for emergencies. Fully charges any 2 same type of battery quickly in a day. Did not overheat in hot Florida sun. Good Quality for the price. Charging meter is great and indicates time frame to charge each type of battery. Everyone should have a few of these as they are very inexpensive. I originally ordered through Amazon and did not receive a genuine C Crane product, although they looked exactly alike. I returned chargers to Amazon and spoke with an excellent customer service/technician at C Crane and proceeded to order directly through C Crane and am very satisfied. Easy directions, warranty information, and support information provided in each box. (My products ordered through Amazon did not have these items)

Bought it, used it, and it is SUPURB!!! I would be willing to pay twice as much for this product. I use this instead of the one I plug into the wall socket. I recomend this to everyone!

Excellent product - recharges batteries on the window sill as well as outside. Gives a great indication of the charging strength of the sun as the day goes on giving me a good indication of how my roof top PV panels are charging.

Can be recharged about 500 times and last for years. NiMH batteries work great in high drain situations like digital cameras. More power, can be recharged or topped off anytime, and don't have the "memory effect" found with NiCAD batteries....more
